Thad Pryor: A Champion for Children’s Fitness

Thad Pryor: A Champion for Children’s FitnessSo far, we’ve made mention of several of Thad Pryor’s most integral contributions to Children of America. As President and CEO of this company, he has revolutionizes the curriculum for instants through 12-year-olds—with quite a bit of help from curriculum developer Dr. Vicki Folds, of course! He has set new industry standards for health and safety precautions. And, of course, in true business tycoon form, Thad Pryor has embarked upon an audacious expansion campaign that is, thus far, moving along according to schedule.

But there is another aspect of child development that we have not touched on, and that’s physical development. In this day and age, such concerns are fairly major; childhood obesity is a major issue, and physical fitness is undervalued in many academic programs. But that’s not the case at Thad Pryor’s Children of America. For him, physical fitness is a pivotal component in the Children of America curriculum.

And it’s not too difficult to understand why this is an issue Thad Pryor would feel strongly about. Fun fact: Before his career as a successful business tycoon and childcare industry leader, Thad Pryor was a world champion kickboxing pro, and is currently honored in the Martial Arts Hall of Fame! Physical fitness is something that he cherishes, which is why he’s made it a central component of Children of America’s programming.

As a way of promoting physical fitness, Thad Pryor has implemented a Presidential Fitness Campaign in all Children of America locations. The precise makeup of these initiatives will appear a little different from one location to the next—for specifics, you can call your local center director—but the main goal of the program is unified throughout—simply put, Thad Pryor and his team want to make certain that our kids are as happy and as healthy as can be, an ambition that strikes close to the heart of what Children of America is all about.
