There are a few areas in which Thad Pryor can be called an expert. First, it’s pretty obvious that he’s an expert in business, as his twenty-year career in fields ranging from film to mobile marketing to childcare makes abundantly clear. But he is also an expert in physical fitness. Remember: Before he was a successful business tycoon, Thad Pryor was a martial arts champion, and is currently honored with his name in the Martial Arts Hall of Fame. It’s fair to say, then, that he knows a thing or two about being fit and trim!
And it is this passion for fitness that Thad Pryor brings to his work at Children of America, and to his initiatives for implementing a holistic, body-and-mind education that will help kids truly be the best they can be—not just academically, but physically, as well. According to Thad Pryor, this is one of the most important developments he has brought to the company—a twin focus on educating the mind and bettering the body.
For his academic curriculum, of course, Thad Pryor didn’t have to turn any farther than to his Vice President and curriculum developer, Dr. Vicki Folds. For the athletic and physical stuff, though, he implemented an entirely new program—a Presidential Fitness Campaign. The benefits of this program, he says, are numerous, and include the prevention of childhood obesity, more focused minds, and healthier kids in general. The specifics of the program will be a little different at each Children of America location—for details, speak with your local director—but each location will be united behind the program as a way to help kids be healthy and fit. For Thad Pryor, this is all part of the work Children of America is doing—work to transform not just America’s childcare industry, but it’s children, as well!
